Q: How do I get rid of the pesky static cling?

When we ship the dresses in their tissue paper, this tends to make the fibers of our fabric very dry and more susceptible to static. (Especially during the cooler months.) Thankfully, the more you wear your dress, the more microscopic moisture it will absorb and getting rid of that extreme dryness will keep the static away! Static will naturally become less and less noticeable with each wear, but here are a few tips to remove/prevent it in the meantime: 

• Do you have any wire hangers lying around? (Like the kind that a dry cleaning would send you home with?) If so, simply hold the dress by the straps with one hand and gently pull it through the large opening of the hanger (held by your other hand)… Almost as if you were slowly and carefully threading a giant needle! The metal of the hanger should neutralize the charged ions causing the static cling. You will hear little crackling noises to tell you that it’s working.
   
• You can also hang the dress so that it is not touching anything else (I put mine on a velvet hanger and balance it on the molding above my bathroom doorway) and then thoroughly wet both of your hands before smoothing them over the length of the fabric. The moisture should act as a similar type of neutralizer, but you may have to let the little water speckles dry out before wearing. 
   
• In order to prevent static cling in future wears, keep your skin adequately moisturized before putting it on. I use almond oil on my entire body after getting out of the shower and this really helps, but any type lotion would probably be fine too. (Avoid staining the silk by making sure that it has fully soaked in before putting on your dress!) 
   
• I would also recommend that you avoid wearing your dress around the house while barefoot. As we scoot around on carpet or rugs (or even upholstered furniture) it can re-charge those static-y ions, but keeping shoes on your feet should definitely help! 

Q: I watched your video and saw the 4 different ways to wear the dress, but the description says that there are 10+ ways. Do you have pictures of all of them?

At the time of filming our video back in March, we decided to highlight the four “main ways” but ever since then it’s been easy to come up with many new versions as we wear it throughout the seasons!

Q: Please let me know your options for bust size 44 DD. Thanks!

In order to find the correct size, we'll need the measurement of your actual bust circumference (in inches) taken at the widest point. If you don’t have a flexible tape measurer, we suggest using a length of yarn or string and then measuring that with a ruler! 

Not everyone's measurement here matches the number in their bra size, so we always recommend that it's a good idea to double check. :) 

Technically, our Full size is roomy enough to accommodate up to a measurement of 42", but we are hoping to accommodate a larger range of sizes as our customer base grows. Please let us know if you are interested in a custom-made option, and we'd love to chat more about making this work! 

Q: Can you help me decide between the Crescent and the Curvy? The instructions said to take a measurement of my bust at the fullest point, but the models and their bra sizes threw me off. 

The circumference at the top of the dress (essentially right at the armpit area) is the narrowest part, and for most people this is also the spot where their maximum bust measurement would be taken from. I have a pretty big rib cage (with AA cups!) and I prefer the Crescent because it keeps the sides of the dress from hitting me too low at my underarm-area. Typically, someone’s boobs will take up enough room in the front to prevent this from happening, but of course it's different for every body.
